THE HUE OF THE GRASS
This short sci-fi prose follows the prompt, “You realize you've been photoshopped into all of your family's photos.”
The Hue of the Grass centres Zinc, who reluctantly prepares to let go of his childhood home in Surrey, England. At the request of his parents, he clears out the attic while they are on vacation. But as he sieves through old family memories, Zinc notices a picture that suggests he and his sister, Aurelia, have been edited into most of their childhood pictures. The siblings insist on getting to the root of this strange deceit.
