A MODEL MARRIAGE

This short story was inspired by the prompt “Five polite people show up at your door. "We're here to review your marriage,” they say.”

The story follows married couple Chrissy Ude and Gray Dombrovskis as the five professionals take them on a turbulent journey, revealing the couple’s respective unknown betrayals within their marriage.

In this alternate universe (which is slightly more dystopian than the world we currently live in), marriage is a legal requirement in Canada. Routine assessments are carried out to determine whether partnerships are successful or destined for failure. The latter will result in government-ordered divorce and both parties will be sent to marry new partners.
